This Writ Petition is filed for the following substantive relief:
“to issue a Writ, order of direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to treat the petitioner as a local candidate for admission into MBBS/BDS courses for the academic year 2014-15 in Andhra area by declaring the action of the respondents as illegal and arbitrary.”
This Court by order, dated 03.09.2014, directed the respondents to permit the petitioner to participate in the counselling for admission into MBBS/BDS course in Andhra area for the academic year 2014-15 by treating her as a local candidate.
Sri A.Prabhakar Rao, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.2-University, stated that the petitioner has not appeared for the counselling in pursuance of the aforesaid order.
The case was adjourned on two occasions, i.e., on 22.09.2014 due to absence of learned counsel for the petitioner and 09.10.2014. Even today, when the case is called, there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
As a sequel, interim order, dated 03.09.2014, is vacated and W.P.M.P.No.32365 of 2014 is dismissed as infructuous.
