JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner approached the first respondent- District Collector by Ext.P8 for issuance of the NOC for the purpose of using explosives for quarrying activities. The petitioner submitted that he has obtained consent from the Pollution Control Board. In order to process his application for other purposes, especially for LE3 licence under the Explosive Act, he requires the NOC from the District Collector. 2. In view of Ext.P8 application, there shall be a direction to the first respondent- District Collector to take up Ext.P8 and pass appropriate orders thereon within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. It is made clear that for the purpose of NOC, environmental clearance shall not be insisted.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
