JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO WRIT PETITION No.36278 of 2014 Between:
1. Chekkara Ramadevi and another PETITIONERS AND
1. The State of Andhra Pradesh, rep. by its Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, Secretariat, Hyderabad, and another.
RESPONDENTS ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue and with their consent the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.
2. The petitioners herein sought for a Writ of Mandamus for declaring the action of the 2nd respondent, viz., the District Collector, Chittoor District, in not considering the representation submitted by the petitioners on 25.06.2012, 04.08.2014 and 13.10.2014 as illegal.
3. On 25.06.2012 both the petitioners have submitted a representation to the District Collector, which was acknowledged. Further the said representation was forwarded to the Tahsildar, Pileru and he was advised to be contacted on 15.07.2012. The grievance of the petitioners is that in spite of contacting the Tahsildar and going around the Collectorate, no relief has been provided to them.
4. In view of the same, instead of keeping this writ petition pending, which will not serve any useful purpose, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent-District Collector, Chittoor District to ensure that the representations of the petitioners said to have been submitted by them on 25.06.2012, 04.08.2014 and 13.10.2014 be disposed of at the earliest, at any rate, within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, it shall be open to the Collector to consider the claims of the other eligible persons also.
5. With the above direction, the writ petitions is disposed of. No order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
