JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioners are residents near the Kumaram Chira Devi Temple, Sooranadu South, Patharam. The petitioners, apprehending that the Devaswom Board is proposing to put up a wall along the entire 14 acres of the temple property, highlighted their grievances before the Commissioner of Devaswom Board by Ext.P3. The grievances of the petitioners are that more than 50 residential houses near to the temple premises, are using temple property for their ingress and egress to the public roads and if a wall is put up as proposed, it will obstruct their ingress and egress.
In view of the pendency of Ext.P3, I am of the view that the second respondent shall consider the grievances of the petitioners as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, before putting up any boundary wall, within an outer limit of 6 weeks after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
