1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.
2. This petition has been filed praying for a direction to the police authorities to give protection to the petitioners as they have married out of their own sweet will at Arya Samaj Temple, Bareilly on 6.12.2019.
3. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that both the petitioners are major and they have married out of their own sweet will. Since the petitioners have married against their parents wishes, they are being harassed by the family members. It has been submitted that petitioner no.1 was earlier married to one Madhu Singh of Agra, nine years ago, but because of his conduct, he had to leave him. The matter was settled before the Village Panchayat at Agra.
4. If the petitioners are major and they have married out of their own sweet will, they are directed to apply online for registration of their marriage under the U.P. Registration of Marriage Rules, 2017 and they may approach the S.H.O., P.S- Civil Lines, District Rampur, who shall extend all help and protection to them under the Government Order dated 31.08.2019.
5. The writ petition is disposed of.
