By order dated 12.5.2017 passed by this Court in Writ B No. 31563 of 1990 connect with Writ B No. 21763 of 2000, a direction was issued to Consolidation Officer to expedite the hearing of objection filed by Kalika and to make effort to decide the same within a period of six months from the date of production of a certified copy of the order.
A perusal of the material placed on record reveals that the objections were dismissed in default. Subsequently, on an application filed by Kalika, it was restored by order dated 28.8.2017. Thus, the delay in disposal of the proceedings is attributable to Kalika, the husband of the applicant.
Accordingly, this Court is not inclined to proceed in contempt against the opposite party. The contempt application is dismissed at this stage.
