This is an application filed by the petitioner who is the brother of the missing person under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:
“i) To issue a writ of mandamus or such other writ, order or direction commanding the 2nd respondent to entrust the investigation Crime No.133/2014 of Meppadi Police Station with Crime Branch Police (CB CID) ii) Issue a writ of mandamus or such writ, order or direction directing the 2nd respondent to supervise the investigation in Crime No.133/2014 of Meppadi Police Station.”

As per the directions of this court, the learned Government Pleader ascertained from District Police Chief, Wayanad as to whether the investigation can be entrusted to the District Missing Person Unit of Wayanad for investigation and when the application came up for hearing today, the learned Government Pleader submitted that the District Police Chief Wayanad had instructed to submit before this court that Crime No.133/2014 of Meppadi Police Station which was W.P.(C).No.8293 of 2014 : 2 :
registered under the caption 'man missing' on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner regarding the missing of his brother can be entrusted to the District Missing Person Unit of Wayanad for investigation and necessary instructions have been given in this regard. The Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the above submission of the learned Government Pleader may be recorded and the petition may be disposed of with liberty for him to come later or agitate before the appropriate authority if he is not satisfied with the outcome of the investigation.
The above submission of the learned Government Pleader and the Counsel for the petitioner are recorded and the petition is disposed of with above liberty for the petitioner.
