Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for respondents no.1 to 3.
The petitioner was initially appointed as Registration Clerk on temporary basis. His services were terminated by order dated 26.08.1989 which came to be challenged by the petitioner in Writ Petition No.17852 of 1989. His services was confirmed on 24.03.1998 during pendency of writ petition. His writ petition was dismissed by this Court on 11.09.2007. Accordingly, a show cause notice was issued to the petitioner by the respondent no.2 on 31.08.2021 calling upon him to show cause why his services may not be terminated. The said show cause notice is impugned in the present writ petition.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that the petitioner has replied to the aforesaid show cause notice. He submits that the respondent no.2 be directed to consider and decide the objection of the petitioner against the show cause notice expeditiously.
In view of the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent no.2-Inspector General is directed to decide the objection of the petitioner against show cause notice dated 31.08.2021 expeditiously preferably within a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order before him.
With the observations made above, the writ petition is disposed of.
