Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for State - respondents.
By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for issuing a writ of mandamus directing the respondent no. 1, the Tehsildar, Tehsil Tamkuhiraj, District Kushinagar to decide case No. 520/1998 (Champa Devi and other vs. Gokhula), expeditiously.
No useful purpose will be served in keeping the writ petition pending. This writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2, the Tehsildar, Tehsil Tamkuhiraj, District Kushinagar, to decide case No. 520/1998 (Champa Devi and other vs. Gokhula), in accordance with law, within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merits.
