JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner’s vehicle bearing Reg.No.KL-45-F-5393 has been seized by the 2nd respondent alleging transportation of river sand. According to the petitioner, the sand seized is only ordinary sand and not river sand. Ext.P3 is a representation filed by the petitioner before the 3rd respondent Revenue Divisional Officer to take sample of the sand seized and send the same for analysis to the 5th respondent.
2. Having regard to the factual situation, I am of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of as under:
The third respondent shall take the sample of the sand seized and send the same to the 5th respondent, as requested in Ext.P3, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The 5th respondent shall send its report, based on such sample, within a period of three weeks. The 3rd respondent, based on the above report shall finalise the proceedings within a period of two weeks thereafter.
