JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE R.KANTHA RAO WRIT PETITION No.27259 of 2014 Between:-
Ch.Tarun Kumar And …Petitioner The Deputy General Manager, Syndicate Bank, Regional Office (Rural), 6-3-915, II Floor, HMWS&SB Buildings, (West Block), Khairathabad, Hyderabad and another.
…Respondents.
THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE R.KANTHA RAO WRIT PETITION No.27259 of 2014 ORDER:
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Labour appearing for the respondents.
The first respondent bank made a requisition to the second respondent to sponsor the candidates for the posts of temporary Attenders. The grievance of the petitioner is that the first respondent is not receiving the applications from the candidates other than those sponsored by the Employment Exchange.
The present writ petition is therefore filed to direct the respondents to receive the application of the petitioner for the post of temporary Attenders without insisting upon his name being sponsored by the Employment Exchange.
Reliance is placed by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner on EXCISE SUPERINTENDENT MALKAPATNAM, KRISHNA DISTDRICT, A.P., Vs.
[1]
K.B.N. VISWESHWARA RAO AND OTHERS , wherein, the Supreme Court has laid down categorically that restricting the selection only to the candidates sponsored by employment exchange is not proper. In addition to requisitioning the names from employment exchange, names should also be called for by publication in newspapers, having wide circulation and display on office notice boards or announcement on radio, television and employment news bulletins.
In view of the above Judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, the respondents are under obligation to receive the application from the petitioner.
Therefore, the respondents are directed to receive the application from the petitioner and allow him to participate in the selection process including the written test and interview to the existing vacancies of temporary Attender posts without insisting that his name must be sponsored by the Employment Exchange.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. The Miscellaneous Petitions pending if any shall stand closed.
