JUDGMENT / ORDER

The prayer in the Writ Petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the retirement pension to the petitioner for the services rendered as Village Head Man from 1978 to 14.11.1980 and the service rendered as Village Administrative Officer from 02.07.1999 to 31.01.2009, by following the G.O.(Ms) No.148, Revenue [Post-B(2)] Department, dated 20.04.2011 and consequently to pay all the arrears with a time frame.
2. The third respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer, Thiruvannamalai, has filed a counter affidavit stating that the petitioner requested to sanction minimum pension as per G.O.(Ms) No.148, Revenue [Post-B(2)] Department, dated 20.04.2011. The request of the petitioner was under active consideration by the respondents, but in the meanwhile, he has come up with the present Writ Petition.
3. It is further stated that now the Government has sanctioned minimum pension to the petitioner as per G.O.(Pen) No.158, Revenue Department, dated 08.04.2015 and the Accountant General, Chennai has also authorised payment of minimum pension to the petitioner in his letter No.AG (A & E) / PEN.P26/2/12621608, dated 02.08.2016.
4. The learned Government Advocate also submitted that the respondents have already considered the request of the petitioner and sanctioned minimum pension to the petitioner. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate and the counter affidavit filed by the third respondent, no further adjudication is necessary in this Writ Petition. Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is closed. There is no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous is closed.
