The petitioners are the Committee of Managements of Sadhu Bela Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya Varanasi. They are aggrieved by the direction of the Vice-Chancellor of the Sampurna Nand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, whereby the orders have been issued for appointing respondent no. 5 as the Principal of the Institution.
The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners is that the respondent no. 5 is not eligible, entitled to hold the post of Principal and that the provisions of the U.P. State Universities Act, 1973 and the statutes of the University have been violated in issuing such direction. The petitioners have already represented to the Vice-Chancellor under Section 68 of the Act, against the aforesaid application/representation dated 10.03.2018.
In view of the facts and circumstances, as the matter is before the Chancellor, we expect that the Chancellor would consider the same in accordance with law and pass an appropriate order as early as possible.
