Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel.
This writ petition has been filed for issuing a direction to respondent no.3- Secretary Secondary Education Board, U.P. Prayagraj to consider the petitioner's claim for declaring it as an examination centre for the Board examinations.
The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that examination centre was regularly allotted to petitioner's institution for conducting the High School and Intermediate Examination from 2004 and the petitioner institution fulfils all the norms as per the Government order dated 16.10.2019.
It is further submitted that inadvertently the petitioner-institution was left to be included in the list of examination centres,, hence the District Magistrate,Mau, who is the Chairperson of the District Level Committee, has written a letter to the respondent no. 3 dated 7.12.2019( annexure-2) to correct the list of the examination centres.
It is further contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner has also represented the matter before the respondent no.3-Secretary, Secondary Education Board, U.P. Prayagraj vide representation dated 2.12.2019, copy of which has been appended as annexure SA-1 to the supplementary affidavit, but no decision has been taken in the matter.
Under these circumstances, direction is issued to respondent no.2-Secretary, Secondary Education Board, U.P. Prayagraj to look into the grievance of the petitioner and pass appropriate order on the petitioner's representation dated 2.12.2019, in accordance with law, in the light of the letter of the District Magistrate, Mau dated 7.12.2019 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
With the aforesaid direction/observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
