The petitioners have made the following prayer:
"1. A writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 2 to ensure the election of the Committee of Management after obtaining the registered list of the members of the general body from the office of Deputy Registrar, Firms, Societies and Chits and after finalizing the electoral college in supervision of any competent administrative officer."
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the election to the Committee of Management of the College has been held. The cause of action on which the writ petition was founded does not survive.
The writ petition is dismissed.
