Heard Sri Arun Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-State.
The petitioner contends that list of members of the society and the renewal of the certificate of registration of the society is pending before the respondents authorities.
The respondents authorities are directed to take appropriate action under Sections 3, 4, 4B of the Societies Registration Act on the application submitted by the petitioners. The exercise shall be completed after giving notice to all necessary parties including the respondent No.4. The respondent No.2 shall pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with the fresh copy of the list of members and office bearers as well as the application for renewal.
It is clarified that this Court has not judged the merits of the controversy nor has it gone into the veracity of the assertions made in the writ petition. It is for the respondent No.2 to do so after independent application of mind in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is finally disposed of.
