The prayer in this writ petition is that petitioner's college be declared a centre for the next year examination.
Writ petition has been filed extremely late. Prima facie petitioner has got a good case, however writ petition is to be dismissed on the ground that petitioner has come very late. Learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that exercise for allotment of centre for the next year examination will be complete by 15.11.2010 i.e. on the next working day from today (tomorrow and day after tomorrow are second Saturday and Sunday). If the petitioner had come 2 weeks or even 10 days earlier Court would have asked learned standing counsel to seek instruction. Accordingly, writ petition is dismissed only on the ground that petitioner has approached the Court very late.
Accordingly writ petition is dismissed. After the dictation of the above order learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the last date for finalisation of centres may be extended. If it is so done then petitioner will have liberty to file fresh writ petition for the same relief as claimed in this writ petition.
