Heard counsel for the petitioners, learned standing counsel for respondent No. 1, Sri Pranjal Mehrotra for respondent No. 2 and Sri Rohit Pandey for respondent No. 3. With their consent, the instant writ petition is being decided finally, without inviting a formal counter affidavit.
The petitioners are the Committee of Management and Manager of an educational Institution namely, Shivam Technical Campus. An application was filed on 17.3.2015 before the Registrar, U.P. Technical University, Lucknow requesting for extension of approval of M.B.A. course for session 2015-16 and for closure of B.Tech. programme during the same Academic Session. Along with the application, processing fee was also enclosed. According to learned counsel for the petitioners, the State Government has already issued a No Objection Certificate on 10.3.2017 for closure of B.Tech. programme. However, the University has not taken any decision in the matter relating to extension of approval and permission to close the B.Tech. programme.
Sri Rohit Pandey, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No. 3 states that the application of the petitioners shall be processed within three months.
In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the University, the instant writ petition is disposed of by providing that final decision in the matter be taken by the University, within a period of three months from the date of filing of certified copy of the order.
