Pleader ORDER The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 23.12.2013 thereby to issue a patta in respect of the land bearing Plot No.5, Veerapandia Kattabomman Salai, formerly known as Kazhiveli Salai, Perungudi, Chennai-600 096, measuring 1265.5 square feet in favour of the petitioner.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given his representation as early as on 23.12.2013, for the issuance of patta, the respondents have not issued the patta yet .
3. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents, submitted that the second respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders, in accordance with law.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.12.2013 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
