ORDER:
The petitioners seek a direction to the respondents to consider their candidature for the post of lineman pursuant to the Notification dated 28.02.2014.
Heard Sri M.Karthik Pavan Kumar, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Sri P.Anand Seshu, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court has disposed of the writ petitions filed by similarly situated persons vide common orders dated 04.08.2014 in WP.Nos.21491, 21718 & 21784 of 2014 and accordingly prays that similar order may be passed in this writ petition also.
The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioners herein also covered under the notification dated 28.02.2014 and therefore, the same order, as passed in the aforesaid writ petitions, may be passed.
Having regard to the submissions made by the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to allow the petitioners for appearing screening tests, other relevant tests and to participate in the selection process, and consider their candidature for the post of Junior Lineman, in accordance with law and due process as contemplated under the impugned notification.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
