Heard learned counsel for the parties.
Petitioner, a Constable in Civil Police, by the impugned order dated 29 June 2019 passed by the second respondent-Upper Police General Director (Establishment), U.P., Lucknow, came to be transferred from Kanpur to Gorakhpur. It is urged that petitioner is to retire on attaining the age of superannuation on 16 July 2020. In the circumstances, it is prayed that the petitioner's representation may be considered sympathetically by the competent authority.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that the Director General of Police, Head Quarter Lucknow, is the competent authority, who shall pass appropriate order on the representation of the petitioner.
In view thereof, on consent, the petition is disposed of directing the Director General of Police, Head Quarter Lucknow, to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner by reasoned and speaking order, expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of filing of certified copy of this order alongwith copy of the writ petition.
It is clarified that the Court has not considered the claim of the petitioner on merits.
