In a promotional exercise which was initiated by the respondents in 2014, the candidature of the petitioner was placed under sealed cover. The grievance is that till date neither the sealed cover has been opened nor has the recommendation been acted upon.
In view of the above, the learned Standing Counsel states that subject to all contentions on merits being left open the claim of the petitioner shall be duly attended to and disposed of by the fourth respondent in accordance with law and preferably within a period of two months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
Accordingly and without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this petition shall stand disposed of in light of the statement noted above.
