The petitioner herein seeks for quashing of the First Information Report dated 21.04.2017 registered as Case Crime No.0198 of 2017 under Sections 420, 406 I.P.C P.S-Sasni Gate District-Aligarh.
Only submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case and the said fact is clear from the affidavit of the complainant filed before this Court and before the investigating officer.
Submission is that the first information report had been lodged in the year 2017 and the investigation had not been progressed at appropriate pace.
Considering the above, we do not find any good ground to quash the first information report. However, looking to the fact that the first information report had been lodged in the year 2017, we expect that the investigating officer shall proceed with the investigation in an expeditious manner.
However, in case any grievance of the petitioner for laxity on the part of the investigating officer, it would be open for him to approach the Senior Superintendent of Police or the court concerned by invoking relevant provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
