Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing counsel.
The petitioners are having their agricultural fields in village Bhaupur, Tehsil-Faridpur, District Bareilly. The said village has been allotted/reserved/assigned for supply of sugar cane to the Faridpur Sugar Mill through Co-operative Sugar Cane Development Society, Faridpur but the said society is not issuing slips to the petitioners for supply of sugar cane probably for the reason that the petitioners are the residents of some other village.
The contention is that the place of residence of the petitioners is not relevant rather it is the area where the fields of the petitioners are situate which are material for the purpose of allotment/assignment of the area to the said Sugar Mill.
The aforesaid grievance of the petitioners can be taken care of by the District Sugar Cane Officer, respondent no. 3.
The petitioners have filed representation on 27.11.2019.
In view of the above, we direct respondent no. 3 to consider and decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioners in accordance with law and pass a reasoned order most expeditiously preferably within a month.
The writ petition is disposed of.
