Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State.
It is stated that both petitioners are major and they have solemnized their marriage out of their own free will.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners shall apply online for registration of their marriage within two weeks. It is alleged that the private respondents are interfering with marital life and liberty of the petitioners.
This Court is of the view that relief can be granted to the petitioners at this stage. However, in case the petitioners produce their marriage registration certificate before the concerned police on or before 31.08.2018, the police shall grant them protection.
With these observations, this petition is disposed of.
