Petitioners apprehend arrest in Crime No.1259 of 2013 of the Mattannur Police Station for the offences punishable under Sections 143, 147, 148, 341, 323, 324, 308 read with Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code and have filed the application. 2. Heard the learned Public Prosecutor and the learned counsel.
3. It is alleged that on 15.12.2013 at about 8.30 p.m. petitioners attacked the de facto complainant and others with deadly weapons due to political rivalry. The police also registered Crime No.1260 of 2013.
4. Learned counsel submitted that the matter is being settled between the parties.
5. Having regard to the nature of allegations made and Bail Appl.No. 2707 of 2014 () 2 investigation required to be done, request for pre-arrest bail cannot be allowed.
6. Learned counsel submitted that the petitioners may be permitted to surrender before the investigating officer.
7. Let the petitioners surrender before the investigating officer on 26.06.2014 at 10 a.m. and on other dates as directed by him in case interrogation is not completed. In case the petitioners are arrested, they shall be produced before the Jurisdictional magistrate as early as possible.
The application is disposed of as above.
