JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has purchased Ext.P1 property from one Royi Varghese. The petitioner has approached the revenue officials to effect transfer of registry. The revenue officials refused to effect the transfer of registry for the reason that Royi Varghese have liability, and revenue recovery proceedings are initiated against him. Thus, the petitioner has approached this Court. The revenue recovery proceedings shall not stand in the way of effecting transfer of registry. The transfer of registry is for fiscal purposes. Therefore, without prejudice to the revenue officials to proceed against the property, the transfer of registry shall be effected. The petitioner also expressed his willingness to discharge the liability. If that be so, the revenue officials shall quantify the amount and intimate the petitioner and on receipt of such intimation, if the petitioner wants to pay WP(C).No.29087/2014-I.
2 off the liability he is free to do so. It is made clear that the revenue officials are free to proceed against the property, if the petitioner fails to discharge the liability.
Writ petition is disposed of as above.
