Petitioners' vehicles bearing registration Nos.KL-09- AD-4603 and KL-03-L-2231 have been seized. Petitioners' case is that the vehicles have been seized alleging violation of the provisions of the Kerala Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1967. The petitioners seek to compound the offence under Rule 60A (1) of the Kerala Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1967 before the respondents. Petitioners express their willingness to compound the offence.
2. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to release the vehicles to the petitioners on payment of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) each by the petitioners on each vehicle. On payment of the amount as above, the vehicles shall be released to the petitioners forthwith by the first respondent. If any crime has been registered against the petitioner, the WP(C).No.27998/2014-Y.
2 respondents shall report the composition of the offence before the competent Court.
The Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
