Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.86 of 2014 and file final report within the stipulated time prescribed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she is the husband of the complainant Sugumar (deceased), who lodged a complaint to the first respondent against one Nandagopal and others and the said complaint was registered as FIR in Crime No.86/2014 on 12.02.2014. Since no final report was filed, the complainant has approached this Court by filing Crl.O.P.No.6281 of 2014 seeking a direction to the second respondent to complete the investigation in Cr.No.86 of 2014. By order dated 10.07.2014, the said petition was disposed of by directing the second respondent to complete the investigation and file final report as expeditiously as possible, not later than one year. Even after expiry of one year, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition came to be filed by the wife of the complainant.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondents.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to complete the investigation of the case in Crime No.86 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report, if not already filed, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
