. Respondent/ Complainant Petition under sections 437 & 439 of Cr.PC., praying that in the circumstances stated in the memo of grounds filed herein, the High Court may be pleased to release the petitioners on bail in Crime No. 30 of 2014 on the file of I Town P.S., Chirala Prakasam District.
The petition coming on for hearing, upon perusing the Petition and the memo of grounds filed herein, and upon hearing the arguments of Sri P. Nagendra Reddy, Advocate for the Petitioners, and of Public Prosecutor for respondent, the Court made the following.
ORDER:
The petitioners are A-1 to A-4. They seek for grant of bail. They allegedly committed offences under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
Each of the petitioners was alleged to possess half a kilogram of ‘ganja’.
The quantity of ‘ganja’ seized from the accused is far below the commercial quantity. I, therefore, consider that the petitioners deserve to be enlarged on bail.
Consequently, the Criminal Petition is allowed. The petitioners-A1 to A-4 are enlarged on bail on a personal bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) each with two sureties in a likesum each to the satisfaction of the Additional Junior Civil Judge, Chirala, Prakasam District.
