The contention of the petitioner is that the authorized controller has been appointed vide order dated 9.5.1997 by respondent no. 1. The period of appointment of the authorized controller has been extended from time to time. In the order dated 25.7.2002 while extending the period of authorized controller, a direction has also been issued to hold the election but till date election has not yet been held.

The petitioner claims to be life member of the Society. He is seeking a direction to the authorized controller to hold the election.

Learned Standing Counsel is directed to seek instruction that why the authorized controller is not holding the election.
