The petitioner is the father of respondent no.6 and the father-in- law of respondent no.7.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent nos.6 and 7 have grabbed shop of the petitioner thereby depriving him of his source of livelihood.
By taking recourse to the provisions of the U.P. Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2014 and the Rules framed thereunder, the petitioner has made an application to the District Magistrate, Jaunpur. For a decision on the said application, a direction is sought through this petition.
Considering the nature of the grievance expressed in this petition as also the prayer made, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this petition by directing the District Magistrate, Jaunpur (second-respondent) to take appropriate action on the application of the petitioner, after giving opportunity of hearing to the respondent nos.6 and 7, expeditiously, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of filing of this order in his office.
It is made clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merit of the claim of the petitioner.
