Heard Mr. Rashtrapati Khare, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. Krishna Agarwal, learned counsel for respondents 3 to 5.
The principal prayer made in the writ petition reads thus:
“i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the tender notice dated 2.2.2018 which has been accepted by the respondent no. 5, Contained in (Annexure No.3) of writ petition.”
The tenders were invited for providing maintenance gangs on contract basis for maintenance of electricity supply and various transformer 33 kv 11 kv LT lines and feeder and attending consumer complaint and revenue work under EDSD Mau. We are informed that the work order has already been issued in favour of private respondent. The petitioners' tender has been rejected solely on the ground that the rate quoted by the petitioners was lower than the base rate. This has not been disputed by learned counsel for the petitioners. Hence, we do not find any merit in the writ petition. The petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
