JUDGMENT / ORDER

1. This petition under Article-226 of the Constitution of India has been preferred, with the following prayers:
"(A) Your Lordships will be pleased to admit this petition;
(B) Your Lordships will be pleased to issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order or direction, directing the respondent authorities to enter the name of the petitioner in revenue records as owner of the said agricultural land of old tenure being Survey No.309 admeasuring about 5-85-79 Hectors-are-sq.mtrs. Situated at Raypur, Tal: Gandhinagar, Dist: Gandhinagar and restore the possession of the said land to the petitioner, or in alternative direct the respondent authorities to grant alternative land at other place to the petitioner or direct the Respondent authorities to give compensation with interest to the petitioners, or in alternative direct the respondent authorities to pass appropriate order after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner with respect to the rights of the petitioner in the said land;
(C) Pending hearing and final disposal of the present petition Your Lordships will be pleased to pass order directing respondent authorities to maintain status quo qua the said land;
(D) Your Lordships will be pleased to grant such other and further relief/s, as are deemed just, fit, proper & necessary in the interest of justice."
2. At the outset, Mr.Dipak H. Sindhi, learned advocate for the petitioner states that the interest of justice would be met, if the petitioner is permitted to make a representation to respondent No.2 (District Collector, Gandhinagar), who may be directed to consider and decide the same, within a time-bound period.
3. In view of the above statement being made by the learned advocate for the petitioner, the following order is passed :
In the event that the petitioner makes a representation to respondent No.2 (Collector, Gandhinagar), within a period of four weeks from today, the Collector shall consider and decide the same, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, but not later than a period of three months from the date of receipt of the representation.
The petition is disposed of, in the above terms, without entering into the merits of the case.
Direct Service of this order is permitted.
