THIS APPEAL COMING ON FOR ADMISSION THIS DAY, THE COURT DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING:-
J U D G M E N T For the injuries suffered in the road traffic accident, the claimant made claim petition before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal at Channarayapatna. The Tribunal, by its award dated 26th August 2014 passed in MVC No.1123 of 2013 awarded the global compensation of Rs.20,000/-. The claimant is before this court in this appeal seeking enhancement in the compensation.
Heard the learned counsel for the appellant and gone through the award of the Tribunal. The Tribunal at paragraph 27 of the award has assigned reasons for awarding the global compensation of Rs.20,000/-. Be that as it may, to meet the ends of justice, suffice it if Rs.15,000/- is awarded in addition to what has been awarded by the Tribunal. Accordingly it is awarded. The enhanced compensation does not any carry interest. Appeal is allowed in part.
