Petitioner is a Sub-Inspector in U.P. Police and has lost his G.P.F. pass book. Upon an application filed by the petitioner, the concerned Superintendent of Police, Etah has called for requisite report in the matter from Senior Superintendent of Police, Budaun, vide letter dated 29.3.2018. Petitioner's grievance is that the authority concerned has not responded to the letter and , therefore, a duplicate GPF pass book has not been issued.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that grievance of petitioner shall be considered by the authority concerned, in accordance with law.
Considering the facts and circumstances, noticed above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction upon the respondent no.5 to examine petitioner's grievance in light of the letter sent by the Superintendent of Police, Etah dated 29.3.2018, within a period of four weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order. Based upon the report received the concerned respondent no.6 shall do the needful, in the matter, within a further period of 2 months thereafter.
