Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel.
The only prayer pressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner reads thus:
"To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Additional Commissioner (Judicial), Bareilly Division, Bareilly to decide the Appeal No.98 of 2016, (Bhagwan Singh Vs. State of U.P.) expeditiously and within stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petition stands disposed of directing the second respondent-Additional Commissioner, (Judicial), Bareilly Division, Bareilly, to expedite the proceedings of the aforesaid case and conclude the same, at the earliest possible, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law, provided there is no legal impediment.
