Heard the counsel for the petitioner.
The present writ petition has been filed against the orders dated 23.5.2016 and 28.3.2018 passed by the Settlement Officer of Consolidation and the Deputy Director of Consolidation whereby the said authorities have refrained from passing any orders on the appeal and the revision filed by the petitioner on the ground that an interim order was passed in Writ - B No. 41101 of 1998. The said writ petition was dismissed by this Court vide its order dated 3.4.2018. The impugned orders have been passed by the consolidation authorities before the order dated 3.4.2018 was passed by this Court.
It would be futile to keep the writ petition pending and no examination of the merits of the case is required. The petitioner may approach the concerned authorities bringing the order dated 3.4.2018 passed by this Court to the notice of the concerned authorities who shall decide the application filed by the petitioner and consequently pass appropriate orders in the revision and appeal pending before them.
With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
