Osmania University, Hyderabad, reptd by its Registrar and nine others.
. Respondents Counsel for the Petitioners: Dr. K.Lakshmi Narasimha Counsel for Respondent Nos.1 & 2: Sri Deepak Bhattacharjee The Court made the following:
ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus to declare the action of the respondents, in not conducting the main and supplementary examinations in time, as illegal and arbitrary.
At the hearing, it has been submitted by Dr.K.Lakshmi Narasimha, learned counsel for the petitioners, that the issue similar to the one raised in this Writ Petition was subject matter of Writ Appeal No.1594 of 2014, which was disposed of by a Division Bench of this Court by order, dated 12.12.2014 and that by the said order, the Division Bench has observed that the problem canvassed in the Writ Appeal is of perennial nature and that it is appropriate, if the University considers and solves the problem of the students. Accordingly, the Division Bench has observed that the Registrar of respondent No.1-University will give a hearing to the students concerned and take a pragmatic and realistic decision after appreciating the ground realities. The Division Bench has permitted a lawyer or a competent student to appear as the representative of the students.
Dr.K.Lakshmi Narasimha, learned counsel for the petitioners, submitted that he is instructed to appear on behalf of all the student community at the hearing that is scheduled to be held today in the afternoon by the Registrar of respondent No.1-University.
In the light of these facts, learned counsel for the petitioners is permitted to represent the petitioners and other similarly situated students before respondent No.1- University.
The Writ Petition, accordingly, stands disposed of in terms of order, dated 12.12.2014, in Writ Appeal No.1594 of 2014.
As a sequel to disposal of the Writ Petition, W.P.M.P.No.49566 of 2014 filed by the petitioners for interim relief is disposed of as infructuous.
