ORDER:
Heard.
2. Petitioners state that their father was killed by extremists on 14.11.1993 at Somasila village, Kollapur Mandal, Mahanboobnagar District. It is stated that their father was working as a privately employed driver in bus bearing No.APM 7555. The said bus is stated to have been blasted by extremists killing 9 police personnel, Superintendent of Police, Sub- Inspector of Police besides the father of the petitioners and the said incident was subject matter of FIR.No.123 of 1993. Petitioners seek compassionate appointment as per the policy of the Government to give employment to one of the members of the family of the deceased. The Government had issued G.O.Ms.No.504 General Administration (SC.A) Department dated 11.08.2008 which is in furtherance of earlier policy under G.O.Ms.No.469 General Administration (SC.A) Department dated 08.11.1996. Petitioners state that similar writ petition was already considered and disposed of by this Court in WP.No.32506 of 2014 dated 30.10.2014.
Following the reasons given thereunder, this writ petition is also disposed reiterating the same directions, as under:
“In the circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to take an appropriate decision in the application filed by the petitioners, referred to above, by taking note of the fact that the petitioners are seeking exgratia, in lieu of employment in terms of G.O.Ms.No.50, dated 21.02.2014, and process the said application and if the petitioners are found eligible, the 2nd respondent shall ask the petitioners to execute appropriate documents to be able to receive exgratia in the petitioners to execute appropriate documents to be able to receive exgratia in terms of the scheme, referred to above. Since the incident has occurred almost in 1998, it is imperative that appropriate decision is taken, as directed above, expeditiously, preferably before the end of December, 2014. There shall be no order as to costs.”
As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
