Bechey Lal Verma vs State Of U.P. Thru Secy. Deptt. ...

High Court Of Judicature at Allahabad|29 July, 2019

JUDGMENT / ORDER

By means of the present petition, the petitioner has prayed for a mandamus commanding the respondents to pay compound interest @ 18% per annum on delayed payment of retiral dues.
A perusal of the petition indicates that neither any rules have been annexed nor any provision has been indicated to show as to how the petitioner would be entitled for payment of compound interest @ 18% on delayed payment of retiral dues. However, from perusal of records, it comes that that in this regard the petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 06.05.2019 to respondent no.5, a copy of which is Annexure-7 to the petition.
As no final decision has been taken on the said representation consequently the present petition is disposed of, without entering into the merits of the case, with direction to respondent no.5 to decide the pending representation of the petitioner dated 06.05.2019 (Annexure-7 to the writ petition) by means of a reasoned and speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order in accordance with relevant rules in this regard.
