JUDGMENT / ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.G.Anantharangan, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
2 The husband of the petitioner was employed as a Sewerage Cleaner and died along with his co-worker Haridass in the course of his employment due to leakage of poisonous gas on 13.02.2002. Thereafter, the claim for workman compensation was made and compensation amount of Rs.4,15,960/- was paid to the petitioner. The petitioner would submit that on account of the sudden untimely tragedy that had occurred, their family is left in lurch. Therefore, she made a representation dated 27.03.2015, praying for appointment on compassionate grounds. The 2nd respondent, vide communication dated 29.04.2015 in Ma.Aa.2Na.Ka.No.H2/0069/2015, informed the petitioner that the matter has been referred to the 3rd respondent. The petitioner has also submitted a representation dated 26.10.2016 to the respondents, though it was received and acknowledged on 27.10.2016, no orders have been passed. Hence, she has come forward to file the present writ petition.
3 Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.G.Anantharangan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
4 Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 3rd respondent to act on the communication of the 2nd respondent dated 29.04.2015 and consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
5 The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
