1. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Perur, Coimbatore District.
2. Inspector of Police, Madukkarai Police Station, Coimbatore District. .. Respondents Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from in any manner interfering with the affairs of the petitioner's 'Bavani Social Welfare Club' as Sl.No.182/2016 situated at S.F.No.25/2A, Natha Thottam, Kumaran Nagar, Nachipalayam, Vazhukkupparai P.O., Othakkalmandapam Via, Coimbatore district or its members including the facilities provided for playing various games including the game of playing rummy not involving any element of gambling.

O R D E R
The petitioner has filed this petition, forbearing the respondents from in any manner interfering with the affairs of the petitioner's 'Bavani Social Welfare Club' as Sl.No.182/2016 situated at S.F.No.25/2A, Natha Thottam, Kumaran Nagar, Nachipalayam, Vazhukkupparai P.O., Othakkalmandapam Via, Coimbatore district or its members including the facilities provided for playing various games including the game of playing rummy not involving any element of gambling.
2. In order to clarify some aspects of the matter, the Writ Petition is listed today under the caption “for being mentioned” and it was clarified. By consent of both parties, order is passed in the main Writ Petition itself.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has submitted that so far there is no complaint received against the club. As long as the petitioner runs the club in lawful manner, the respondents will not interfere with the club. If the petitioner conduct any betting or games involving chances in the club, the respondents shall take action against the petitioner's club.
4. In view of the above said submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, this Court imposes the following condition:
“the petitioner club is permitted to play rummy games in the club and the respondent shall not interfere with the affairs of the club. If the petitioner conduct any illegal games in the club, the respondent can very well interfere and take action against the petitioner's club, in accordance with law.”
5. With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
