JUDGMENT / ORDER

Antony Dominic, J. The appellant filed WP(C) No.3671/12 challenging Ext.P2 order of confiscation issued under the Kerala Protection of River Banks and Regulation of Removal of Sand Act. The learned single Judge having dismissed the writ petition, this appeal is filed.
2. We heard the learned counsel for the appellant and also the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. Although various contentions were raised before us, fact remains that the writ petition was filed by the appellant challenging Ext.P2 order dated 25/1/11 only in the second week of February, 2012. This, therefore, shows that it is almost an year after the order was issued, the writ petition was filed. Therefore, the learned single Judge was fully justified in concluding that the writ petition was belated and the appellant was guilty of laches.
W.A.No.835/12 : 2 :
4. We do not find any reason to interfere with the judgment.
Writ appeal is dismissed.
