JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 15880 of 2014 O R D E R:
None appears for the petitioners.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home has been furnished instructions, in writing, by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Penukonda Police Station and based thereon, he would submit that the Station House Officer, Penukonda Police Station has never harassed, threatened or interfered with the life and liberty of the petitioners and the civil disputes between the petitioners on the one hand and Respondents 4 and 5 on the other. The allegation that the police have interfered with the life and liberty of the petitioners herein has been disputed. It is also opined by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home that the present Writ Petition is a precautionary measure to ensure that in case Respondents 4 and 5 lodge any complaint against the petitioners, the police may not take up the matter for further investigation.
So long as no crime is booked, the petitioners may not be summoned to the Police Station unnecessarily and also made to wait there for a number of hours unproductively. On the other hand, if any complaint is received by the police, relating to commission of a cognizable offence, the same shall be registered in accordance with Section 154 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and the investigation thereinto must be taken up promptly.
With this, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
Consequently, the miscellaneous applications, if any shall also stand disposed of.
