Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for State-respondents.
The present petition has been filed for direction upon the Commissioner, Azamgarh Division, Azamgarh to decide Appeal of the petitioner, under Section 18 Arms Act within stipulated period.
From the order-sheet of the case it appears that on numerous occasions the proceedings had to be adjourned on account of authority not having sufficient time to address the appeal and on few occasion the authority had been busy with administrative work and that apart on few occasion the lawyers were not co-operating with the proceeding.
Under he circumstances, no specific direction need be issued. It is however observed that the Commissioner would endeavour to dispose of the appeal of the petitioner expeditiously, in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid observation, the petition is disposed off.
