THIS PETITION COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN ‘B’ GROUP THIS DAY, P.S.DINESH KUMAR J., MADE THE FOLLOWING:
ORDER The petitioner in this public interest litigation, has inter alia, prayed for a writ of certiorari to quash the Government Order dated 15.05.2017 (Annexure-G), permitting auto rickshaws having two stroke engines to ply till 31.03.2018.
2. Shri S.G.Prashanth, learned Additional Government Advocate submits that the date has been extended till 31.03.2020. In the circumstances, petitioner’s prayer to quash Annexure-G does not survive for consideration.
3. The petitioner has also made another prayer for a direction to the respondents to consider its representation dated 23.03.2017 (Annexure-D). Learned Additional Government Advocate submits that the said representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed within a period of eight weeks. His submission is placed on record.
4. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the State Government to consider petitioner’s representation dated 23.03.2017 within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
No costs.
