When the proceedings for cancellation of petitioner's patta were cancelled, the State filed a Revision and when that Revision was allowed, the petitioner filed a Revision being Revision No. 2723 of 2019.
Grievance of the petitioner is that the Revision is pending and also no orders have been passed on the Stay Application and, therefore, a prayer for a direction has been made that the Stay Application be decided within a stipulated period of time.
Under such circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, it is being directed that the Stay Application dated 4.10.2020 be decided within a period of two weeks from the date of presentation of a copy of this order. The copy of this order would be duly certified by the petitioner's counsel.
For a period of two weeks or till the Stay Application is decided, whichever is earlier, status quo as of today shall be maintained.
In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of.
