Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records pertaining to the order of detention dated 16.05.2017 passed by the 2nd respondent in C.No.31/G/IS/2017 quash the same and produce the detenu B.Jeevanantham @ Jinna, aged 22 years, S/o.Balasubramanian, before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty and the detenu now confined in Central Prison, Coimbatore.
For Petitioner : Mr.D.Mario Johnson For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in C.No.31/G/IS/2017 dated 16.05.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenu by name, B.Jeevanantham @ Jinna, aged 22 years, S/o.Balasubramanian, residing at No.11/30, Mariappa Konar Street, New Town, Podanur, Coimbatore and quash the same.
2. It is represented on the side of the respondents that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.3125 dated 24.06.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has been revoked.
3. Considering the afore said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
