This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with a limited prayer for issuance of mandamus to the Appellate Authority, the Commissioner, Azamgarh Division, Azamgarh to decide the Stay Application filed along with Appeal (Bajrang Bali Shukla vs. District Supply Officer, Azamgarh) within a stipulated time period.
Accordingly, without entering into the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Appellate Authority to decide this Stay Application preferred along with the memo of appeal by the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before the authority concerned.
The Commissioner shall thereafter make an effort to decide the appeal itself on merits within a further period of eight weeks.
